Limburgse Kats are Licorice shaped cats - sweet with a firm texture and a traditional, popular Licorice around the world.

The root of the Glycyrrhiza glabra plant, native to Europe and Asia, has been loved and used by the early Egyptians in tea as a “cure-all”. Extracts of Licorice root have been used to soothe gastrointestinal problems, as well as to repair stomach lining and restore balance in cases of food poisoning and heartburn. It is also recommended for respiratory issues, and for providing relief for the adrenal gland from the stress of producing adrenaline and cortisol.
